One can also prefer a 15-20 min walk from JR Hamamamatsucho/from the hotel to Tokyo Tower and enjoy the urban sights of small shops, restaurants, and other establishments along the way. There are local restaurants around the area of the hotel or if you are into conbinis, there is Family Mart, 7-11, and Lawson within 500 meters circumference from the hotel. Japan is now practically avoiding plastic bags and you will be charged for every bag you need, but if you bring along with you a reusable eco bag, shop attendants and cashiers will definitely appreciate it. JR Hamamatsucho station is just a couple of stations away from Tokyo and Shinagawa stations in opposite directions and is very convenient if you will be traveling by shinkansen towards the north (Tohoku) or the south (Kansai). Check-in/out: easy self-check-in and check-out via automated machines. Otherwise, the hotel attendant can assist you and they speak good English. Newly renovated in April 2017, Tokyo Prince Hotel offers modern accommodation. Guests can enjoy views of Tokyo Tower, which is just a 3-minute walk away. We really liked the location in Minato area-lots of parks and good restaurants, well connected to the rest of the city. The breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of Western and Japanese foods.
