The host is very responsive and helpful via booking, and an English speaker which felt rare for us. The train from toyama has the most beautiful view and I'm glad we got there by sunlight. The location is great and next to the cable car to murodo to climb Mt. Oyama.

The staff were really nice. I really like this place because of the staff. They went above and beyond for me. Also definitely a good stop if you're doing the kurobe alpine route.

Surrounded by beautiful mountains, Midagahara Hotel is located in a national park 1930metres above sea level. Fantastic location. Lovely nature and superb hospitality. We enjoyed it thoroughly. On request, they had offered vegetarian meal and it was excellent. Our special thanks to the chef and his team. We will surely come back for a longer stay.

Located in the Chubu Sangaku National Park, accessible by the Tateyama-Kurobe Alpen Route, Tengudairasansou（天狗平山荘） is set in Tateyama offering breathtaking mountain views and has a restaurant and a... One of my favourite places in Japan! The owners are really kind, although they don’t speak English, you can see that they are trying to make you feel as comfortable as possible. The rooms and onsen were great and even surprising considering the remoteness and altitude. Definitely go out and see the sunset if you get a chance!

Surrounded by picturesque Northern Alps Mountains, Hotel Tateyama is located 2450 meters above sea level in Tateyama, right in the middle of the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route. Super location. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner very good. Will be here again for sure.
