Lovely warm welcome. The Lions is beautifully decorated and maintained. We had a very nice twin room overlooking the charming garden. It was quiet and the beds were comfortable. Coffee, tea and water were provided in the room and we enjoyed sitting in the cosy lounge. We were leaving before breakfast and Pablo provided us with a container with delicious fresh fruit and smoked salmon and avocado sandwiches that made the early start and (sadly) chaos on the trains, more bearable!

My car was too wide to get through the gate to park in front of the Lions but there was parking on the road outside. Otherwise, we couldn’t fault our stay.

Looked specifically for parking , however there wasn't any as have limited small car park and rely on street parking. Bed was uncomfortable so had rough sleep, also woken up at 7am as in central courtyard they are doing construction and starred using power tools . Room was clean and okay but very dated . Room 1 has sky light that has no cover so you get light blasted at sunrise and cannot do anything about it
