Location is 30-45 min away from the main towns on the south shore but in a less populated area close to ocean epic view hikes and the popular mountain hikes including to the highest mountain on the island Pico Ruivo. Views from the balcony are great and hot tub is fantastic to relax and massage muscles after a lo g day of hikes. Wifi is good, rooms clean, there is a kettle in the room to make tea, and restaurant is near by. Park right next to the building on the street if you have a car. Our hostess Sandra and her mother were very welcoming, and we very much appreciated the homemade biscuits and madeira wine and fruit when we arrived and the traditional cake to take home with us. The house itself was beautifully decorated, the bedrooms in particular with their very comfortable beds, and we loved all the extra cushions, cozy blankets for the sofa and the generous supply of towels in the bathroom.

We had a great time in Paraíso Resiliente, specially loved the beautiful garden at the entrance of the house, we felt we were in the jungle. During the stay, they offered for free the vegetables, fruits and eggs that they produce locally in the house, they were so good!
