This is our second time to stay at the farmhouse. We love it! It's a quaint house turned into lodging. The area is very beautiful and by a river. The hot tub had the best view of the valley too. It's fun to meet other travelers during breakfast. You have access to the kitchen in the evening which is nice for having a cup of tea or for playing games or reading.

The yurt is incredibly warm, spacious, and comfortable. There is a toilet and sink in the room. It was nice the breakfast is included especially for a reasonably priced hotel (for Iceland standards.) Because it is a boutique location there were limited amounts of other guests which made our stay very peaceful. We went out at night to admire the stars and even caught an aurora. The location is fantastic. There is no light pollution and clear skies making the hotel a great place to see Aurora Borealis. We had a great sighting of Northern Lights at 10 pm on the very first day of our stay. It was a great dance of lights in the sky for 40 minutes. This is the second time we are staying in this hotel and we have been rewarded with great sights of Northern Lights in both times.

It was very spacious and furnished beautifully, functional and it was very clean. The weather was very cold and windy but inside it was very cozy due to the heated floors! It’s very close to the Geysir area so this worked out well for us. Breakfast was wonderful as well. Lots of choices in the breakfast yurt. We could not have ask for anything more. Highly recommend this different ‘hotel’ stay!!!
