Self check-in was a very comfortable option. The room was spacious, breakfast was varied and the hot tubs, although not in a very secluded location, were nice. Best location if you want to explore the Golden Circle.

This is our second time to stay at the farmhouse. We love it! It's a quaint house turned into lodging. The area is very beautiful and by a river. The hot tub had the best view of the valley too. It's fun to meet other travelers during breakfast. You have access to the kitchen in the evening which is nice for having a cup of tea or for playing games or reading.

Great location where you can just enjoy your stay, nice little and comfy hut equipped with all you need and if you need something else you can get it on request, highly supportive staff on the phone and actually as well on the ground
We loved everything! The glass bubble and the hot tub outside are fantastic additions to this lovely cottage. Our host was very helpful and patience, response quick. We had the most amazing and memorable 3 nights here!

Reykholt is a nice little village on the golden circle.
Reykholt is a nice little village on the golden circle. It has a little grocery shop in the petrol station with hot dogs and ice cream. There are also the Mika and Friðheimar restaurants, both worth a visit. The outdoor swimming pool, playgrounds and sport facilities are fantastic for the kids. Take a short walk up to the top of the hill for some amazing views.

This is one of our favourite areas to book for weekends away from Reykjavík. We enjoy the local hikes, waterfalls (and also Restaurant Mika!). With Secret Lagoon nearby as well as the Golden Circle being within a short drive, there is plenty to do. This visit we also checked out the Hrunalaug hot springs which were fab!

The Restaurant Mika was a welcoming place, since we were traveling the Golden circle late and were worried we wouldn't have anything to eat before arriving at the amazing Blue Hotel Fagrilundur. We thought the restaurant would close at 9pm on the Monday night, but we saw they kept letting travellers in well past 9pm. And the food was wonderful! And they accommodated my partner's gluten and sugar intolerance so nicely, by even cooking the potatoes on a separate pan from the others.
We would come back to Reykholt and Restaurant Mika and the Blue Hotel again and stay longer!
The Lodge is located near the Golden Circle. It is perfect to stay if you want to explore all the sites near that area. The host was very kind. You can use the kitchen to make whatever you like and the kitchen is equipped. The area around the Lodge is very beautiful and you can make a morning walk exploring the nature. I suggest staying there 2 nights and then head for the south to Vik to explore the rest of the Iceland. Value for money staying. Also if you are lucky with out clouds and dark night you can see the Northern Lights.
This was one of my favorite places to stay in Iceland. We stayed in one of the private hot tub cabins and it was just absolutely stunning. The hot tub is completely private and has a stunning view for sunset and sunrise. We saw the Northern Lights even though the sky had clouds - great location for that as well. The cabin itself was spotless, and much larger than I expected. There were two bedrooms, a nice kitchen, and a great bathroom leading right out to the hot tub! awesome. Great location for the Golden Circle!
Most amazing sweet home (this is 5b) in the middle of beautiful nowhere - right in the center of GOLDEN CIRCLE 🌈 Restaurant and small Supermarket / Minimart 6 Min nearby. The cottages are super clean and modern. Bed 🛌 is super cosy and Kitchen has everything like coffee, tea and oil to have your first meal ready 🍾 30 min to Gullfos Waterfall and Geysir 🌊. One of my best stay at guesthouse ever! Highly recommended. You’ll get code for gate and house 🏡 short before arrival. Easy!
What a beautiful house! Solveig, the host, was friendly and helpful. Everything was neat and clean. We were two very happy families, 4 adults and 2 children, and there was more than enough space for everyone. The house is well equipped and the jacuzzi and sauna were fantastic. Nice spot on the golden circle in the little village of Reykholt with its swimming pool, shop, restaurants, playgrounds, football pitches, greenhouses and more. Thank you!
Everything. I think I had the best stay of my life. The room and the toilets were clean. The house had good temperatures inside and the kitchen was really helpful. There is a hot tub as well so you can relax after a tiring day. The owner is one of the nicest person I have ever met. She always smiled and she allowed us to cancel two nights for free without hesitation. I'd definitely go back to this place if I'd be around that part of Iceland.
The property looks beautiful, especially with all the snow around. It's a great place to stay if you're planning on doing the Golden Circle on your own and don't want to be in a hurry. We had dinner at the restaurant in front of the hotel, which was both convenient and delicious. The next day, we had lunch at the famous tomato soup place nearby. The self-check-in process was easy and hassle-free, and there was ample parking space available.
Great cabin with all the utilities that you might ever need. It had a mini kitchenette which is helpful if you wanted to make something quick.
The hot tub was great. The hot tub was kept ready to be used. The views from the hot tub was not bad either.
The cabin is in an isolated location, so although you might not have anything accessible nearby, the cabin's location is serene and peaceful.
The vibe was charming. Loved the reading nooks, the view of the stream right behind the house. Super clean, loved the use of the kitchen, hot tub was wonderful and hot. Like geothermallll! Great spot to lounge outside. Even my 18 year old daughter loved it. Zuxanna was wonderful. Loved the ability to wash clothes. Wish we stayed longer. Close the the fridheimer tomato restaurant yumm
My favorite stay of of our roadtrip in Iceland! Beautiful inside and out. The hot tub was amazing with an awesome view of the volcano Hekla in the distance. The house was so spacious compared to our other rentals. It was peaceful and had everything we needed included. The location was perfect for Gulfoss and the Geysir with a gas station and restaurant nearby.
The location is excellent being close to the famous sights. It is just a year old so very modern. There is no reception so there is no one to help after hours. Keeping that in mind the rates should be a bit lower. The owners are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is decent. Like all hotels in Iceland there is no ventilation and the inside is really stuffy.
Very cozy small cabine, located nearby Iceland's Golden Circle (some spots are only 20 minutes away). There is a small kitchen in the cabine you can use and a fridge for your groceries.
The contact with the owner is very good, they are friendly and give you some informations about the nicest spots around.
The cabin was beautiful, comfortable and located right in the heart of the Golden Circle. The Geysirs and Gullifoss are literally around the corner. Icelandic horses were in the neighbor's meadow. We saw everything we were hoping for!
Modern and comfortable accomodation near Geysir and gulfoss with far reaching views of beautiful Icelandic countryside. Easy to find but off the beaten track. Nearby shop, restaurant and wine bar and a few geothermal baths close by.
Whole house - centrally located for all our activities planned near Thingvellir National Park.
We stayed here on our first night in Iceland. We had 2 friends and a married couple on this trip, and had plenty of space.
Charming homestay with pleasant hosts. Everything was clean and comfortable and we were able to cook dinner in their kitchen and enjoy their lovely breakfast. A welcome alternative to impersonal hotels and rentals.
This stay marked our two first days in Iceland. Therefore, it was great to find it in such good shape. A good base for exploring popular spots nearby, such as Thingvellir, Geysir, and Gullfoss.
Great modern room, with lot of space. Very clean. Easy self check-in & check out. Good breakfast. Hot tubs are very useful after long day on track. Excellent restaurant ~50m from the hotel.
Stunning location, spacious cabin, very clean, private and well distanced from other cabins, immersed in nature while being a quick drive away from the closest restaurant
