Hotels near Sunshine Coast Maroochydore Airport - MCY, Maroochydore

Mudjimba is a little piece of paradise on the Sunshine Coast. It is small, friendly but close to other facilities and amenities if you want them. It is special because it doesn’t have the higher density of other places nearby and retains the warmth and ambience of a village.

Our check in time was supposedly at 2pm, we didn’t get a room key until 2:30pm. It was very frustrating as 1 receptionist said our room was ready & another said it wasn’t cleaned yet. We were told to get there early (as we did) in the hopes of our room being available earlier but it was 30 minutes late.

Central tower - Oceanview studio room - fabulous view. Room very small with limited facilities. No cutlery/crockery or microwave. Room in need of TLC. Resort pools are fantastic and grounds are very well kept. Staff are helpful and nice. Closeness to beach and some shops/cafe - convenience store, surf shop, bottle-o, takeaway, Chinese restaurant, ice cream shop. Shopping centre with Coles and North Shore Tavern a short drive. Beautiful beaches for swimming, surfing or long walk. Plenty of opportunities for rest and relaxation.

The bed was hard............ the parking for large vehicles is somewhat challenging .............. the unsafe slippery shower tiles when wet may be an problem for people............. the airconditioner dripping all night was an issus................ we ate at the Tavern not far away.................... the room was clean and European in styling.

It the best. Nice to still be able to find a place on the coast that hasn’t yet been hit by high rises and shopping outlets and people that think they are better than everyone else. Some great cafes, excellent bike/running tracks up and down from Mudjimba. Patrolled beach and great surf. And if you really want the tourist strip experience it’s only a bit over 10 minute drive to Mooloolaba.

The 3 bedroom apartment was very spacious and had great facilities. The apartment and Novotel had good facilities and was a very relaxing place to stay . The apartment Had a strange smell to it though when we arrived - kind of like burning herbs - eventually the smell went away after a fe days
