Staff and the owner have been amazing, very helpful and friendly. Upon my request, they came to pick me up at night time at the arrival for cheap price and waited for me. They were previously in touch with me constantly regarding my request of pickup help. The room was modern style, very confortable and clean. Very confy and big bed. Breakfast continental was very good for both variety and quality, served at my room. They have a menu room service and you can choose among many options of breakfast, lunch and dinner. Location is perfect for late arrivals and early departures as hotel is about 5 minutes driving from the Kathmandu airport.

Dinners order have to be given 30min in advance, to cook freshly and serve you to the given time, the breakfast was also quick and fabulous.

Byen er kaotisk, spennende, støyende med oaser av stillhet og ro, vakre hager/parker. Men viktigst: mange "must see" historiske steder.

For meg er Kathmandu kjent og kjært, har bodd her i mange år.
For meg er Kathmandu kjent og kjært, har bodd her i mange år. Byen er trygg, men ha et lite øye med verdisaker allikevel. Byen og landet er trygt også hvis du reiser alene som kvinne. Viktig å vise respekt for hvordan det er forventet at du oppfører deg og hvordan du kler deg. Nepaleserne er varme og imøtekommende. Kathmandu er dessverre svært forurenset og mange bruker munnbind. Å komme seg rundt i byen er ofte preget av trafikk korker i den innerste bykjerne. Ikke ta lokalbuss, med mindre du er kjent og vet hvor du skal. Ta taxi, det koster mer, men langt fra norske priser! Ca 50 - 60 kr, litt avhengig av hvor langt du skal.
