best location, 2 minutes walking from the bus terminal lahn and ist easy to go with a big luggage!!! Its amazing! Maria (the host) really nice people and so lovely!! Definitely im coming back here again next trip in Hallstat!!

I arrived in Hallstatt after a 4 hour train journey from Munich and it was raining. Thankfully the pension is within short walking distance from the ferry landing located near the village square. I entered the cafe part of the pension and asked where to check in and the staff behind the counter received me warmly and immediately facilitated my check in. Although I had arrived early, my room was already ready and to my delight it was a beautifully decorated room with a balcony for me to have a cup of tea or a meal. As a perk for staying in Hallstatt, I signed up for a free guided tour offered by the tourist information center every Saturday and I had the tour all for myself! Staying two nights in Hallstatt was so worth it even though I had to pay more compared to Rothenburg and Bacharach. I had the town all to myself in the morning and I had wonderful side excursions to the ice cave, the Five Fingers and the waterfall. I had no problem checking out as I only need to leave the keys at the designated spot and inform the owner through messaging.

We had a wonderful experience at the Pension Hallberg. Stayed there for 6 nights and enjoyed the every moment of it. The studio was clean and very comfortable. It has all the necessary amenities as well as coffee, biscuits, snacks etc. The location is perfect and especially the view was amazing. The owners are very sweet old couple. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. They were really nice, helpful, shared good tips about the area and always greeted us with smile. On New years day they shared a delicious cake with us too. They were flexible with the check-in and check-out time as well. Would definitely stay there again. I'd highly recommend.

There was no breakfast served, rather, have kitchen and fridge. Lounge and kitchen separate from the bedroom. Very clean and tidy. There's grocery store nearby, less than 2 minutes walk. Kitchen well-equipped. Very close to Salt Mine, bus parking and parking area about 1 minute distance. Bed is very comfortable, bedroom is very spacious. Host is very friendly and welcoming. Nothing to fault. Nearby sights are all within walking distances.
