I chose Orietta Residencial based on exceptional other reviews, mentioned facilities and friendly atmosphere, and proximity to the Port (for travel to Santo Antao), main streets of Mindelo, and Laginha Beach. In all cases this was a fantastic choice. The Italian couple who run Orietta, and their team, are unbelievably friendly and helpful with a determination to make even the smallest stay perfect. The location is on a quiet street very close to everything, and with an amazing interior courtyard. The top terrace overlooking the pool is a nice relaxed sunny spot for breakfast but also to work and in the evening to have a few drinks during sunset. It is cooler and less rushed and noisy than the rest of Mindelo, away from some of the hassles in town. The room was cool, very tidy, with everything you need, including a marble bathroom with a large, reliable shower. Everything was spotlessly tidy and clean and the terrace area is perfectly designed to allow guests to feel at home and to easily relax. As the hosts also made is possible for me to arrive early (from the airport) and leave late (for the port), I can say with certainty their only focus is the well being of guests. From walking round Mindelo I can also say with certainty they have the best place!

Sin lugar a dudas, una vez conoces a Celestina, ya formas parte de su familia. Todo en ella y en Carlos es un regalo. El apartamento está en una ubicación muy cerca de la playa y a unos 15 minutos del ferry y unos 20-25 de lo que podríamos llamar el centro de la ciudad. En nuestro caso, como coincidió nuestra estancia con la Ocean Race, lo teníamos todo a tocar. El apartamento está nuevo, limpio, el desayuno que deja Celestina en la nevera cumple y sobrepasa cualquier expectativa que tengas. Es super atenta con todo. En nuestro caso nos ayudó además con excursiones, con la tarjeta SIM... nos indicó si había algun evento en la ciudad... Carlos nos pasó a recoger y nos llevó al aeropuerto. Sin lugar a dudas, si volviera a repetir, no buscaría otro lugar donde dormir.

Amazing contact with the owner, very helpful and let us check in and out flexibly! Thank you again! The flat is just amazing, comfortable and has everything the flat for rental.should have. It was a pleasure to stay in this apartment! We regret staying only 1 day ;)

Un apartamento maravilloso, con unas vistas espectaculares. Todo nuevo, amplio, limpio... Los anfitriones se portaron de maravilla permitiéndonos quedarnos más rato el último día hasta la salida de nuestro vuelo. Lo recomiendo sin dudar.
