Set in Katwijk aan Zee in the Zuid-Holland region, Beach House For You - Luxe verblijf, 5 min van het strand features a terrace. The location was very good. Near the beach, with several restaurants nearby. We were there in early spring, so it wasn't a beach vacation...but this accommodation in Katwijk aan Zee is a nice quiet base from which to visit several important sites such as Keukenhof Gardens, Kinderdijk, and Amsterdam. And it was nice to be able to walk to the beach even if it wasn't summer.

Het Dijkstuk, a property with a garden, is situated in Noordwijkerhout, 7.7 km from Keukenhof, 25 km from Paleis Huis Ten Bosch, as well as 26 km from Westfield Mall of the Netherlands. The house is extremely well equipped. You really have everything if you want to cook or do some washing. What we especially liked was the large living room with the kitchen. And you can rent bicycles, there are six of them. The surrounding of the house is distinctly pleasant, you can also use the garden - in the company of hens and sheep. There were only three of us, but I can imagine a much larger group to have an excellent time in this property. And last but not least - Paulette is a fantastic host.

Situated within 12 km of Keukenhof and 19 km of Paleis Huis Ten Bosch in Noordwijk, B&B de Cley offers accommodation with seating area. The B&B is in a great location on the outskirts of two towns. The room overlooks farmland, including tulip fields. It is very peaceful. The room I chose was on the ground floor with easy access to wheel my large suitcase in and out. It was nice to have glass doors opening onto the farmland view with two chairs for relaxing. Inside, it was spotlessly clean. There was a large bed. I slept very well. There were also two armchairs and two desk chairs, which enabled the countertop to be used. I liked that there was a fridge with water and soft drinks. There was a coffee machine and kettle, which were also well supplied with tea and coffee. The shower room was large and well stocked with towels and toiletries. The hair dryer was efficient. There was a mirror which was demisted. The wardrobe was a good size for hanging clothes. Breakfast was amazing. There were plates of fruit, jams, spreads, cereal, sprinkles, slices of ham, and cheese. There were several types of bread, croissants, and homemade brownies. The yoghurt was delicious. The family stayed to make sure you had plenty of hot drinks and juice. The cappuccino was tasty. The family was friendly and made sure I had everything I needed for a wonderful holiday.

Featuring garden views, Benvenuto provides accommodation with a terrace, around 700 metres from Paleis Huis Ten Bosch. Due changes in my travel plans I was unable to stay overnight, but as it was too late to cancel the booking I used this apartment to spend time and rest prior to my ferry journey home. The landlord was concerned by my wasted expenditure and made me a four course meal before I departed in compensation. The neighbours were friendly and chatty.

I stayed at Studio49 in Ouddororp part way through a bike tour at Zeeland. The studio is gorgeous - very clean and comfortable. The hosts were very welcoming and I had everything I needed. I’d love to return and stay longer
