Featuring a garden and views of mountain, Craggan is a bed and breakfast situated in a historic building in Ballater, 16 km from Balmoral Castle. We just loved everything! A beautiful place to enjoy the nature (the view to the mountains, watching wild rabbits, birds etc.) after an active hiking day. The room was just perfect. The best breakfast in the UK! The hosts are very friendly and genuinely nice people. We would love to come back soon.

Offering a garden and river view, The Fiddichside Inn is located in Aberlour, 30 km from Huntly Castle and 35 km from Grantown Museum. Beautiful setting, comfortable space with 2 bedrooms/baths and full kitchen & living. Could have stayed comfortably for several days. Owner very responsive. The attached bar was a fun place to meet the locals. Angus, the bartender, was very hospitable, & knowledgable about the flavor profiles of the wide variety of spirits available. We felt very welcome while the locals regaled us with stories of their families and the area’s history. Remember it’s a bar not a pub-they don’t serve food but they can recommend a couple of restaurants. The outdoor seating by the river was an added plus! Definitely worth a visit!

Situated in Elgin and only 600 metres from Elgin Cathedral, The Pines Guest House features accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. Lyn and Lee were fabulous hosts and offered above and beyond. Room was more spacious than anticipated with private bath. Quiet even with being on the main road. Delicious breakfast and even vegetarian options (including vegetarian haggis)! And having tea and coffee in the room was nice to have.

Set in Rothes and only 17 km from Elgin Cathedral, 4 Stills Apartment offers accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. This is the first place in The UK that I could easily say I felt at home. The apartment is fully equipped with all that you might wish. The place was really clean and cosy for a person from the continent /you know what I mean :) /. See you next time when we'll give us much more time to visit the splendid distilleries in Speyside. Set in Ballater and only 15 km from Balmoral Castle, Unique tiny house with wood fired roll top bath in heart of the Cairngorms offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private... Great location and walk to the town from the house. Wood fired tub was a nice experience. Such a well out tiny home, family of 4 was very comfortable!

Offering a garden and garden view, Room on the River is situated in Cruden Bay, 17 km from Newburgh on Ythan Golf Club and 37 km from Hilton Community Centre. Gillian Cameron took her time to make sure we were warmly welcomed and knew the room and what was offered. She provided us with lots of food and drinks, even creating a platter of meats and cheeses and bread so we can make our own sandwiches. The bed was super comfy and soft, so my partner and I had a great night's sleep.

Featuring garden views, Silverstripe offers accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 28 km from Huntly Castle. Boasting bicycle parking, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. Beautiful, absolutely authentic place. The hostess was great, breakfast excellent, we would definitely return. :-)

Beachfront Lodge, Lossiemouth Bay is set in Lossiemouth, 700 metres from Lossiemouth East Beach, 1.9 km from Lossiemouth West Beach, as well as 9.3 km from Elgin Cathedral. Great location, lovely lodge - would definitely recommend

Set in Stonehaven, Stonehaven ground floor home with a spectacular harbour view. Offers a restaurant and sea views, 200 metres from Carron Beach and less than 1 km from Cowie Beach. The cottage was wonderful. We all enjoy our stay. It was a great respite in our busy travel schedule.
