I was a little bit sceptical about the included half board option but it turned out to be the best decision. There were quite a lot of options to choose from and it was delicious. Also I usually do not book tours from hotels due to overpricing but it seemed they have regullar price + it was a nice lift forward and backward in a Hilux trunk seats. My family also liked a very nice and maintained tropical garden.

Free shuttle car to the bus station on checkout day was a bonus. Also if you book a private boat to Lata Berkoh, the dedicated boarding location is just down the grassy hill behind the hotel.

Exactly what we needed. This property is a little hidden gem. It is conveniently located 8 minutes walk away from all the hustle and bustle of the village, no noise pollution just the sounds of nature that you want to hear. The rooms are spacious and clean. The shower was nice and worked well. Most importantly the beds are big and the comfiest I've had since being in Malaysia (ahhh finally a softer mattress). The host was very hospitable and friendly and there was a bell that could be rang anytime if we needed anything. We were very happy and ended up staying another night. Definitely recommend - brilliant value for money. Perfect if you want to step outside the chaos and enjoy some tranquility.

Nestled within private gardens, Tahan Guest House offers accommodation in Kuala Tahan. Free WiFi is available in public areas. The owner is really kind. In the mornings when groups are getting ready to go trekking or needing to catch a shuttle, he’s always making sure everyone is taken care, whether that means he’s driving people to where they need to go etc. the house itself is very cute, painted with love and you can just feel the good vibes. Bed was very comfy.

Room very spacious and with working AC. Nice balcony that faces an area with greenery (I would plant more trees in the area surrounding the guesthouse so that it really feels immersed in nature). Bed large and comfortable. Friendly owners.

The owners are really friendly and kind, the rooms are nice and clean, the bathrooms as well, there’s air con and a window, a nice terrace with a roof, chairs and a table, a place where you can hang your clothes for drying, refill station for water (cold and hot), there’s tea and snacks on the porch, the location is in the center of the small village and close to the river. I hurt my foot on a jungle tour and the owner was so kind and went to the restaurant nearby and came back with a pack of ice to cool my ankle. Liked it here very much!!!

The location was great and the place was clean. Perfect parking spots for our bikes in front of our room. The owner was kind enough to provide us with a hairdryer when requested.
