The Grand Hotel, hotel in Oystermouth

The Great National Grand Hotel Swansea is located in the heart of Swansea city centre, next to the train station, and within walking distance of Swansea's many attractions.

The foyer is welcoming, easy check in and friendly efficient staff. The room was really good, better than I was expecting. The decor was lovely, clean and the bed comfortable. The bar has lovely decor and drinks reasonably priced. Well situated next to the railway station and there's a car park to the side for £5 overnight. I would stay again without hesitation.

The area is lovely a short walk to a fabulous beach but the accommodation was appalling! Many previous reviews state the bungalow needs a lot of TLC, and this is certainly true, Amy is charging top dollar for uncared for ill maintained accommodation, reviews going back 12 months comment on the same issues we encountered, she came up with excuses but not prepared to refund or compensate even though she was claiming through her insurance!! The impression is she is only interested in making money not providing the service paid for!
