Staff is incredibly welcoming, most speak Georgian, Russian or English, and if a staff member can’t understand you (that only happened once through my stay), they will immediately find someone who can. Location is stunning, lake and surrounding mountains are beautiful, resort is very large but very easy to navigate once you wander around and get a map from your room. Room I had was new and wonderful, with a nice balcony and a cute welcoming letter and snacks. You really feel like coming back home here. Facilities are new and clean (and I mean CLEAN) I actually saw staff pressure washing poolside every evening. Food is above and beyond the expectations, included breakfast buffet is insane and various, all restaurants on site are different with unique menus, but all are great (I haven’t been only to IKE). Reception staff will go above and beyond throughout your stay, manager is always available over the phone or WhatsApp. P.S. Separate gratitude to Sofia, who made my stay incredibly comfortable and went above and beyond to arrange a return of an item I forgot during my stay.

The Chateau is located in a small town in the Alazani valley. It’s a lovely space with a great garden. We had a delicious mostly vegetarian dinner and yummy breakfast. The wine is also very good. It is a great place to stay, but as other said a car is needed.

Tamara (the host) is a wonderful woman! We arrived late (around 9 p.m. and we were really hungry) but she cooked for us great khachapuri. The wine was also great (I'd say the best from home wines that I have tasted before). The breakfast was really great. Almost all are home made, and it's really valuable nowadays. Tamara is a very hospitable person, and you're feeling yourself here as a wanted guest. It's really like a visit of far and kind relatives 😄 100% I can recommend this place, especially if you are on the way to Omalo
