I have been in India for 8 weeks now and Frangipani holiday home is up there with my best stays! The host is very professional and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble and she helped me booking trips and made it really easy. The accommodation is fantastic. The room itself is worth the money..but you also get another room with a large fridge and a balcony! It's in a really nice area and an easy walk to lots of restaurants and attractions. I really couldn't of asked for any more!

I love the heritage structures around this area. Each lane I went was so unique and beautiful with it's own story .
I could just walk all day long and yet I wouldn't get tired. One can walk around without much difficulty. People are extremely friendly and polite. There are scores of places to sit and eat be sea food continental or the local cuisines.

I liked the cute little streets, the many restaurants and cafes. I liked the fishing that was being done. I liked the ferries that were fun to go on and amazingly cheap. I liked that we could so easily rent bicycles to ride around on. I like the Art show that was on.
We went on a couple of bicycle rides, down the coast and up the middle of the island - the main roads were busy but the small narrow roads were lovely to go on. We also biked up north - it was Christmas day so not much on the roads.

A busy bustling town with lots to see and do from watching the Chinese fishing nets to visiting the Jewish quarter .
There is a multitude of museums and galleries to visit and the Kathikal night is a must.
Eating and drinking is varied and of a high standard with prices to suit any budget.
If you can avoid getting picked up by a tuk tuk driver who wants to show you the sights you will realise everything is in walking distance anyway.
A great place for a couple of nights we travelled by bus from Cheria beach to the ferry terminal and caught the continuous ferry to Fort Kochi all for under 60 rupees for 2 people .

A historic part of the city.
A historic part of the city. Watch out for scams - local autorickshaw drivers will take you to "government-approved" showrooms that sell shawls, carpets, and handicrafts at extremely inflated prices, targeting unsuspecting tourists.
