This hotel exceeded my expectations, as I had read mixed reviews on here regarding some factors like cleanliness, spa facilities and food. We loved this hotel for many reasons: The location was fantastic situated up on a hillside with a beautiful 360 degree view. The hotel itself is a very charming and intimate boutique hotel with an artsy feel. Comfortable common space to sit and enjoy the views outside of your room or to have a cocktail from the bar. The view from our room was amazing, and we were able to see the Northern Lights from our room the night we stayed there. We loved the spa and wished we were able to spend more time there. They have beautiful thermal baths and inside/outside thermal pools in case of weather. We did not partake in the dinner the night we stayed, but the breakfast was one of the best we had on our trip. Wonderful dogs on the property that we really enjoyed having around.

Very well fitted and attractive cottage. We had a nice movie night and made breakfast before setting off again. The room set up worked perfectly for our family of 6. Great place! Washington facilities was a big plus!

Our stay at Bitra B&B was absolutely wonderful even though we were only there for one night. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and cozy. There were some lounge areas where my mother and I enjoyed relaxing and dinner we brought with us. We were able to make hot drinks when we arrived, including coffee, tea and hot chocolate. After dinner, I had an incredible, hot shower. The water pressure was immaculate! The bathrooms were very clean as well. In the morning, we enjoyed a thorough, delicious breakfast with cold cuts, baked goods and bread, cereal, yogurt, fruits, granola, and other sandwich ingredients. Very sad we had to depart so early on, but we will 100% be back in the future!

Room was clean, a bit far from the main road. The goat tour was really cute and our kids LOVED seeing the animals.

Askot Cottages was by far the best accommodation experience we had in Iceland. The cabins are immaculately designed and everything is thought of - from Icelandic chocolate to a really decent coffee machine.
But the best part is the beautiful view, that swinging chair, and the neighboring horses who came to visit.
Greta was an amazing host and even let us pet the young (1 yr old) horses who were so sweet, and witness some of the training that they do on site. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer!
