Check-in was easy. Before we got there, the gentleman sent me a text to let me know about the check-in time. Luckily, we got there 5 minutes before closing.
Room was spacious. The blankets were very comfy

TV worked but remote had problems. Maybe just batteries. The place is old but has been updated, is very quiet despite being next to the Baker Truck Corral which has an excellent diner btw.

A wonderful and friendly small town in beautiful Eastern Oregon. Historic Baker City is wonderfully well kept, and is filled with great historic buildings on the usual very wide streets that these old cattle towns have. Baker City is filled with unusual civic art, including a wonderful rotating selection of sculpture. There are good restaurants including our favorite, Barley Browns Brewery and Restaurant. There are wonderful views of mountain peaks. This is a great place to base your visit to Eastern OR. Lodgings are limited here so be sure to plan ahead.

Baker City is a great old western town. People are amazing. Sadly we didn't have enough time to explore Baker City but it looked quaint. If you go, walk the neighourhoods, great classic brick house and well maintain areas.

The location was fine, we could walk to stores and restaurants. The facility is old, needs some help, no hot water in the AM, ( we did have hot water in the PM). No grab handles in the bathroom for our 92 year old father. All in all was fine for asker City I suppose, not worth the price however. The Truck Stop restaurant was a pleasant surprise! Excellent food!

Baker City is a small old western town mainly serving the ranch and agricultural area. It has some charming historical houses and buildings, a cool old hotel, the Geisler Grand and a nice main street with several good restaurants and pubs. Don't miss going to Sweet Wive, a most excellent bakery/cafe.
Also an excellent kitchen supply store and book store, several antique stores and a wine place as well.
There are a couple of museums and it is a jump off place to visit National Historic Oregon Trail Interpretive Center.

This is a great little city! The downtown area has lots to do. The parks are beautiful. Recreation areas such as Phillips Lake and hiking trails along the Powder River are close. The Oregon Trail Restaurant has good, basic food and delicious breakfasts.

1. Loved the museum (Baker Heritage Museum) and a docent (Kathy) who talked with us. The information about Chinese laborers and immigration to the area was enlightening (stuff we should have learned in school!) and the Rock, Gem, and Mineral exhibit was absolutely amazing. We are not particularly interested in rocks or gems or minerals and were so surprised and delighted with this exhibit. 2. We went to the Geiser Grand Hotel and had a "grand", not cheap but reasonably priced, meal. Very pleased with our dinner and service at the restaurant in this historical hotel. 3. For people interested in US history, go to the Chinese Cemetery...it is free and informative. 4. The people in Baker City are genuinely nice people who help make any stay worthwhile.
Remodeled road house, it was fantastic, on my trip to Portland, I stayed here, loved it so much I stayed again on my home,
this is not a Hilton or any other expensive properties, I have stayed in a lot of those and would not be afraid to say this Motel is cleaner than any you will find, rooms have a fridge, microwave, it is very quiet, it sits on US Hwy 30 on the east end of town, a couple miles in to Baker City there are grocery stores, and any kind of restaurant a person could want, really nice town.
This was the absolut surprise on our trip through Oregon…
Hotel and staff just wonderful but the restaurant was exceeding everything 👍
Amazing food presented by an extraordinary chef cook. Best steak we ever had ( in years!!) and a homemade Bolognese with fresh herbs … original Italian.
Service was outstanding, the waitress was the friendliest person and very dedicated to her job.
Hopefully everyone gets the chance to stop by and meet this wonderful place to be and to meet and talk to the chef 😊
This is a smaller, non-chain motel that obviously strives to make the guests comfortable. The women at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. The room was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable. The shampoos, soaps, lotions, were better than most hotels offer. The breakfast included eggs and meat as well as all the other usual items. We were very pleased with our stay there.
Location is in downtown Baker City, nice town w shops, brewpubs and restaurants. Needed s comfortable and clean bed w pet friendly accommodations. Kind couple runs this motel and graciously accommodated our very late check-in due to the pass closed for a bit. Aged building but it was exactly what we needed. In room fridge and microwave. Could see this a great little base camp for summer fun in the area.
This is the best place to stay in Baker City. It's a modest and older motor inn, but clean, cozy, inexpensive, and right next to historic downtown. Staff are very helpful and great hosts. The continental+ breakfast provided is better than the big chain hotels. I especially like the very large fenced in area behind the motel for your dog.
We were in Baker City for a Class Reunion and it was convenient to the location of all events. Easy to access from the freeway and quiet. It was a busy Miner's Jubilee weekend so booked up by the time we left. The staff apologized for sack breakfast due to Covid and not enough staff to make the normal breakfast.
The room was cute and nostalgic. I love the staff at the restaurant. Breakfast was truly free and the best breakfast I have ever had at a Hotel/Motel. No one can compare. The restaurant was truly pet friendly. My dog didn’t have to sit in my room by himself. Well behaved pet is welcome. The food was great.
What a great little find. An older motel so keep your expectations in check - that said it spotlessly clean with everything you could need including breakfast. Wyatt at reception is an true gem - won't be surprised to read about his rise as to hospitality mogul someday. Great job and great little hotel.
I booked online from my Reno Hotel and I had problems but the staff made sure I had a room and that there was only one charge. They did a great job assisting me. I loved it that the motel was affordable, close to the freeway and easy to get into town. Thank you so much.
I loved the hotel, just traveling 4,000 miles in uss .
Such a great value for money ,clean quiet and what a hotel at this price level should be.
. Fantastic bar near for great food etc at the cheapest prices I had in usa.
This facility was ok for Baker City, the location was fine, we were having a small Family gathering for our 92 year old father. The PM receptionist was great, very helpful and knowledgeable, helped us with the TV.
Very clean, quiet, and comfortable. This hotel is a great value for the money. The location was great for what I needed. The staff was friendly, professional, and efficient. I will definitely stay here again.
We loved how comfortable it fit our little family of four. Yes it was with two little ones, but way better than staying at a hotel. Lots of upgrades, but also keeping the home to the historic Baker City feel.
The historic hotel is awesome. We had dinner in the dining room then drinks in the cozy bar before heading to bed. The 4 post bed provided a great atmosphere to the room.
