The hotel has a lot of charm as it has been physically relocated from a ghost town near by many years ago. The owners did a great job preserving a lot of the original decoration while making it comfortable.

Cozy tents at a nice location on our way to Death valley. Bathrooms were clean with enough hot water, right next to tents was a small kitchen with microvave and coffee maker (coffee was complimentary).
The food in the restaurant was tasty and the staff was helpful and friendly. There was also a fire pit and we got smores kit for free).
We had multiple blankets in the tent and a heater, and we highly recommend using both (we stayed in May and the temperatures dropped from 20 °C over the day to 5 °C at night).
This Bridgeport motel features guest rooms with free WiFi. It has a designated dog walk area. The office is open between 08:30 to 11.00 and 15.00 to 23:00 hours.

We loved staying in the heart of the historic town of Bridgeport California. We found the people of the town of Bridgeport to be very friendly and made us feel right at home. Despite being a small town, there are many food options available in the local restaurants. The scenery of the majestic Sierra Nevada mountains surrounding this town are breathtaking!

Perfect place to stop for the night on our journey to SoCal. We got to enjoy the incredible scenery of the East side of the Sierras with a stop at Manzanar. Recommend stopping at Nicelies for breakfast after Mono Lake!

Much nicer than I expected. Very clean and fresh feeling.
Much nicer than I expected. Very clean and fresh feeling. I will stay here again, no need to look anywhere else. Relative had a room down the street and it did not even come close to the comfort level I had at Redwood motel. They also will now book at Redwood motel for their next trip.

Only a couple eating places open, and you have a choice of burger haven, a deli, a brewery (closed at 2pm), ice cream place, and the Bridgeport Inn restaurant which had poor food reviews. We chose to eat outdoors so we had deli sandwiches at Alberts. Not good.
Always enjoy my stays here at Bridgeport Inn. I prefer to stay in the historical building which is late1800's period, therefore, I do not expect a 5-star room. It might as well be as how I am treated there far offsets the age of the room. I stay here because it is fun and affordable compared to other sites. The food is awesome and the staff goes out of their way to make sure everything is as it should be. I've lost track of how many times I've stayed here. Their service keeps me coming back!
The Bodie Hotel is a unique boutique hotel recently renovated in Bridgeport. Each room is a darling retreat. I stayed here comfortably with my 3 girls. We appreciated the use of the small kitchen in back with a fridge and freezer to refreeze and refresh our food and ice as we headed to Yosemite and the balcony in back with a view of the mountains. We were given good recommendations for dining in town. The town itself is a lovely little visit and the Bodie Hotel made it even better.
The man at reception was very pleasant, friendly and helpful.
The room was smaller than some other motels we had stayed at but was perfectly adequate for our needs.
I loved the proper small town American experience, however some people might find the limited provisions in the General Store an issue or the limited choice of places to eat (3 diners / restaurants I think).
We have stayed in the cute cabins several times over the past few years. They are dog-friendly so we brought our dog with us. We stayed for three nights. A new welcome addition is the screen doors which allow fresh air in and keep the bugs out. My husband fished the many lakes around Bridgeport and enjoyed his birthday weekend.
It was 20 minutes' drive to Mono Lake and 50 minutes' drive to east entrance of Yosemite National Park. The two bedroom, one living-room family suite was wonderful! Breakfast, lunch and dinner were offered at the restaurant, and the dinner was great. A beautiful mountain view is around.
Family owned business. Excellent facilities and property. Laundry facilities. Guests are treated to a bonfire every evening. There is a nice hiking trail in the back of the property. Lovely grounds with barbecues as well. Minuets from Bodie or Bridgeport
30 mins to Mono lake, a restaurant, and a bar right inside the motel (approx. $20 per food and it does not matter if it is a dinner or breakfast, but great local beer for $9), really authentic room
