The host - Jos came in person, gave great information and recommendations. He left us Strop waffles and cheese, some beer and soft drinks in the fridge - super great welcome! The view is just superb... and the location is perfect to go around. The house is small but on one floor which is an advantage especially in the Netherlands when stairs are sometimes very stiff... The dishes are also great quality and you are not missing anything.

Simply everything. Nancy is the perfect host, charming, caring, and making one feel right at home. The place itself is lovely with a beautiful view overlooking a typical Dutch canal filled with swans, ducks and geese. We couldn't think of a more perfect stay.

We loved our stay at this 2 BR cottage. The cottage itself was spacious, beautifully furnished and had everything we needed for our 4-day stay. Our hosts were wonderful with providing information and helping us to find places and small villages to visit in the area - we were about 10 minutes from Gouda and thoroughly enjoyed a day there. Leiden was also within driving distance and was our favourite city in the area. The yard was exceptional! A huge beautiful backyard area complete with a beautiful covered sitting area where we lounged every evening with a glass of wine looking out over the pond, canal and green farms/pastures as far as the eye could see. It was a little piece of heaven. I only wish we could have stayed longer.

The property has everything you need and was spotlessly clean. It’s a peaceful spot, with a canal to the front and, just a short walk into the centre, where you can find all the fabulous things Gouda has to offer. The hosts were amazing and went above and beyond to help with the loan of a child’s bike for our daughter to use. There if you need them, but not intrusive.

The cottage is clean, comfortable, cosy and very quickly feels like home. Needs have been carefully thought about and provided for.The charming garden provides private space to sit outside. It's like being in the middle of the countryside, but actually you are a 5 min walk from the center of historic Gouda. The entrance is on a lovely peaceful canal lined with typical Dutch houses. The cottage is cozy, warm and peaceful, well equipped clean and well looked after.
