We loved the environment, we all had our own room (with 3) and we definitly felt like home here. What a beautiful view, what a nice place to hike and what a nice hosts. There's a lot of sounds here from animals, but that was part of the experience here. Waking up here was a gift; the cocks, birds, dogs, donkeys... No warm water, no WiFi, just nature. The food in the restaurant (we had breakfast and diner, also vegetarian) was good. People around were so friendly and helpful during our hike. We felt so safe. This was our favourite stay on Santiago. Thank you (obrigada)

Beautiful surroundings, comfortable home. The host is not there but very quick in responding via whatsapp. The neighbour cooks a delicious meal on demand.

Featuring accommodation with a private pool, sea view and a patio, Villa Halcyon Caboverde is situated in Cidade Velha. The whole house was fabulous. Great location, amenities, great views, fully stocked kitchen and drinks fridge. Private beach could not have chosen a better location.

We loved this little hotel just outside of the lovely town of Cidade Velha. Located in Rui Vaz in the Santiago region, Recanto da Montanha provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. Very nice place to stay. Safe, clean, with running water and working electricity and Internet. There’s also private parking available. Basic breakfast is included and makes a good start of the day. The location is convenient for the mountain walks. We hired a car and used as a base to explore all the island. Staff is very helpful and friendly. The last kilometres of the road after leaving the main road is not asphalted but it’s wide and in very good condition . The view of the mountains around is very nice. Due to the mountains location the temperature is cooler than at the seaside which make the sleeping much more pleasant. We enjoyed our stay here and would come back.

Located in Tarrafal, 300 metres from Tarrafal Beach and 400 metres from Mar di Baxu Beach, Casa de Férias provides air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony and free WiFi. The woman was really friendly. We had 3 bedrooms and a kitchen. There were 3 double beds and 3 single beds. We could cook
