Overall, it was good. Comfort room. When asked for Kettle and utensils to eat food was provided. Cleanliness was perfect. Everyday cleaning was done. The host was very kind.

Dominique was extremely helpful, agreeing to postpone my stay by a night because of the weather. I could leave my bicycle safely under cover in the courtyard. Comfortable room. Adequate French breakfast. Hotel nicely decorated.

The room was clean and comfy. The bed too. Location was perfect. The staff was helpful and friendly.
The Best Western de Diane - restaurant TAM's Cuisine Maison has been owned by the same family for 4 generations and offers modern comforts whilst retaining its original, period charm.

A comfortable small hotel in the heart of the city. They had no complaints about the "filling" of the room. Everything was in order - plumbing, TV, beds. I was very pleased with the check-in procedure. We were getting to the hotel from Paris, the train was 3 hours late. The reception staff put the entire check-in procedure in 3 minutes. Half an hour after arriving at the hotel (which took place around one o'clock in the morning), we already went to bed.
Set on the banks of the Loire River, the Mercure Nevers Pont de Loire enjoys a privileged location opposite the city centre with easy access from the A77 motorway.

The terrace. Spacious and comfortable with fabulous views over the river.
The location was good. Very easy to access the old town.
Located in Nevers, opposite Espace Bernadette Soubirous, Hotel Beausejour is just a 5-minute walk from the train station, 850 metres from the town centre, cathedral and the Ducal Palace.

typical French Logis on a main road into town. Good dinner and excellent breakfast. Car park at the rear.

Like most french towns, Nevers was shabby looking on the way in. We walked around the old town and there are some magnificent buildings but the centre should be pedestrianised. It wasn't enjoyable with bin trucks, loud motorbikes, scooters and cars constantly racing up and down narrow streets. I wouldn't go back , it was a bit dirty and there is a feeling that no care or pride is there from the inhabitants

It is quite a beautiful town.
It is quite a beautiful town.
The view from Loire is nice if weather is quite impressive.
Similar impression to on bridges of Carcassonne or Mantova in Italy.
However in the same time a boring town if St Bernadette is not there. Difficult to find a place to eat.
The only place easy for someone comes from modern lifestyle is L'AGRICOLE near Cathedral.

Nevers feels like a genuinely small French city along the Loire river, with some history (the Burgundy Dukes had their family residence here), a very old central city area (it was a walled city, dates from the Middle Ages) and some lovely surprises like Cafe Velo, a delicious creperie and a first class aquatic center. Well worth the 2-hour train ride from Paris -- and probably beautiful in spring/summer!

Nevers is a large town with an historic centre.
Nevers is a large town with an historic centre. It is a busy hub for trains. There are some excellent walks along the river from the town centre. As large commercial hub there are a number of large hyper markets and all the typical shops associated with them , and also a very large new shopping centre at Marty a satellite town nearby.

Your tourist office is doing a great job. I wrote a few months back and they mailed me Nevers information to our home in the USA. the brochure / map that they supplied is one of the best in all of France. Clearly tells you what the site is all about and clearly shows you were it is.

This is a charming town with an ancient cathedral and surrounding buildings in the old town with narrow lanes and formal gardens running down to the Loire. Beautiful big houses surround the town centre. The people are relaxed and friendly and there are several street cafes/restaurants to eat at. The town is much bigger so there are supermarkets and other shops and facilities too. Great place to stopover on a journey.
Eric was exceptionally. We spoke very little to no French & he was so kind & patience with us. He got the pool ready for us & we enjoyed our own private day in a little piece of paradise. He recommended places to eat which we enjoyed. You just walk out of the gates, turn right & walk up the road & you are in the centre of everything. We would return in a heartbeat & would recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience a taste of France.
The apartment is very well finished and contains all you need for a self contained holiday. Whilst the location is not central it is a bout a 20 to 30 minute walk to the centre of Nevers and the Loire. A fantastic bakery is nearby which is open daily from 6:30 (Feuillette). Parkinf on site is free and there is lots of space. The actual building is residential and in need of some paint etc but was very quiet.
Great location just across the bridge from the town centre with plenty of restaurants easily accessible. There is a beach 200 metres away where you can paddle and have a drink and during our stay there was entertainment on. Lovely place for a 1 or 2 night stay. Sebastian was a very friendly and hospitable host. Very pleasant stay with free parking at the hotel at the back of the gite. Would stay again.
Very very friendly staff. You don't have to cover your body with clothes and they bring you to your room. Big corridors shouls be creepy at night ☺️ Close to the railway but that's not disturbing.
City is great, but be aware of a lot of motornoises (cars, scooters and crossmoto's) in the city. At the hotel is silence. Rooms a bit basic but very clean. Thanks for our lovely stay ❤️🙏🏼🇨🇵🇳🇱
What can I say. The nicest of owners, the most perfect of bedrooms and bathrooms, great breakfast and in a superb locationto explore Nevers. I would detour to stay here again. The Chinese decoration everywhere was so interesting too. I could have just stayed to look around all the pieces. Very clever parking and access arrangements too. Great value and a perfect stay. Merci.
Lovely old chateau being modernised by new owners. Room was large, attract and very comfortable. Bathroom new, traditional tub (but no separate shower).
Definitely have the dinner there. You’ll be lucky to get a better meal in France at anything approaching the price. Wonderful meal.
Lovely grounds even if they need some tidying. Deer, red squirrels…
Extremely friendly owners, a British couple who have lived in France for decades. My charging cable failed, and the owner insisted on taking me to a store because my leg was injured. The room and bath were both very nice. I'd definitely like to return here if I have the good fortune to revisit Nevers.
All in all a very good choice.
Small hotel very central in Nevers close to Espace Bernadette and other city sights. From the train station is 10 to 15 minutes walk. Close to the hotel you will find some places to eat. The hotel calls itself eco and sustainable due to their practices. The room was nice with view to the square and quiet at night. Wifi was good
Excellent hosts. We stayed two nights and received a fresh set of towels after the first night. Air conditioned room, comfortable bed, wonderful breakfast, secure storage for our bicycles. 15 to 20 min walk to the center of Nevers. Very pleasant conversations with our hosts even though our French is relatively poor.
The bed was very comfortable, I like the color combination of the bathroom, helpful staff and attentive to our needs. It was all went well, with refrigerator in the room, a nice view from the river. Clean and spacious room with elevator. I love the atmosphere of that hotel.
If you are a cyclist or not this is the perfect place to stay. Great facilities, close to town centre and great cafe below 🍻 Having got into Nevers after 220km of cycling the welcome couldn't have been warmer and the use of a washing machine was the cherry on top.
We booked for one day and ended up staying 2 additional days. The owner is very accommodating. We left our bags and bicycle overnight with the hotel to go to Paris and they were very accommodating. When we got back from Paris, all our bags were in our new room.
Location was great with a lovely walk through the park to Nevers centre. The coach and train station were also only a short walk away.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating (it does help if you can speak French but they also speak English).
The best thing about this hotel is its staff.
They were helpful…oh, so helpful!!
From loaning an umbrella to flash-translating to finding a lost bike key.
Also the wait staff in the Karosel restaurant were also 10-star.
Beautiful property, very well located on the river. Breakfast was probably the best of my whole trip (cycling through france staying at 10 different places). The host is kind and knowledgable.
