Coffee machine did not deliver well. Even with pushing the “bold” button, coffee was poor. The pool was out of order. No discount made available. The room air conditioner was very noisy. We had it running when we were gone so that we could turn it off at night.

I think the most disappointing thing about tourist cities is that they take full advantage of visitors. They also need to clean up the homeless people. Even though Paula deen's restaurant is extremely high I think it is still the best value for restaurants.

Loved the museums, hop on hop off trolley was very informative, the squares were wonderful and the statues. Refreshing to see a town that treasures it's history and doesn't try to dismantle it.. go to Clarys, but avoid the well known names. Best restaurant was small Mexican place. Regretfully didn't make note of name. The free DOT bus was great for getting to waterfront area

Savannah is a great place to visit.
Savannah is a great place to visit. It has historic charm along with friendly people. There are restaurants and shops wherever you decide to stay. We especially like the Riverboat cruise, we have been before but wanted to take our 90-year-old Mom. She truly enjoyed it. We have been on the tour trolly, we love to hear what made Savannah. We also come to be with family.

Lovely, charming city with lots of history.
Lovely, charming city with lots of history. Stay downtown to get the most out of the sightseeing.
Recommend: Savannah Coffee Roasters cafe, Gryphon Tea Room, Fiddler's oyster bar on River St., must try Leopold's ice cream.
Very easy to walk around town, do try their dot connect free shuttle, Forsyth loop.
Must see Forsyth Park, enjoy the many squares.

Broughton Street offered lots of quaint shops to look through. There are lots of different cuisines as well. Walking on River Street was really nice. There were quite a few places to eat on River Street, but not lots of shopping. Broughton Street offered more for shopping, but both areas made for nice walks. The two favorite places to eat were The Pirate House and The Common (more upscale and $$). The BEST was the mixology class we took in a Speakeasy! There were quite a few homeless in both areas, but that usually comes with a larger city, just be prepared.

We enjoyed the historic buildings.
We enjoyed the historic buildings. Lots of options for restaurants and we found most to be affordable. Be prepared to walk, you really don't need a car while there. We took the land and sea tour which provided a lot of information and history of the town. We also did a walking ghost tour which also provided history. If you haven't read Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil it is a nice one to read after you have visited the city and recognize all of the places mentioned. This would especially be fun with a group of ladies because there is a lot of shopping on Broughton St. that we didn't do because my husband is not a shopper. Make sure to visit Wormsloe Historic Site while you are there.
For the price and the location of this hotel it has to be one of the best around. We were able to walk to every place we wanted to go downtown and never had to worry about where we would be able to park our car or how long it would take to get back to our hotel. We were conveniently located about 2 blocks from River street. Also of all the surrounding hotels, Quality inn has the cheapest parking rate. The staff was all very friendly and helpful and a security guard could be noticed walking around the hotel at all hours.
What an amazing hotel in Savannah! The Marshall House is absolutely gorgeous. I loved the wine and entertainment each night, the breakfast was fantastic and the staff was so kind! Mixed in with stories about the history of Savannah and the Marshall House, made it even more exciting. The location of the hotel is also great, near incredible restaurants and bars, the beautiful “squares” and several tours. Would definitely stay at the Marshall House again.
It is far from Savannah's downtown, the breakfast could improve in its offer, the information given by the service staff was not correct. In our case, we chose this hotel because of the swimming pool for the children, but the first day we wanted to use it, it was closed until an hour later (this was not informed). The room was comfortable; it has parking. If you want to eat something at night, plan and go out into the city.
Location! Savannah BnB is located in a quiet, shaded neighborhood across from one of the many squares in the historic district. It is away from all of the corporate hotels along the river. We walked everywhere and always felt safe! It is an easy walk to the riverfront and all of the attractions. Staff were all pleasant and very helpful in making recommendations and booking reservations for city tours, etc.
The location is perfect. We've been going to savannah for over 25 years and this is the best location we've ever stayed before. It's close to downtown, waterfront, city market, parks, restaurants, etc. The staff was exceptional. Always someone there with an answer and the most polite and nicest staff ever. Beds were comfortable, Wi-Fi was great. It's very quiet for an old Inn. I wasn't expecting that.
The best feature of the property were all of the cats! They’re friendly and nice company to have. They have a large field of grass for dogs to use the restroom on and three big beautiful trees with Spanish moss. The stay was a close drive from downtown Savannah and a Kroger if you need essential supplies. It’s also the quietest and cleanest Inn compared to the other two Inns beside it.
Excellent option for getting on/off i-95 quickly. Seems to be a new hotel so all facilities were really nice. The room was spacious and the beds comfortable. Breakfast was simple but good. Breakfast area by the reception with a lot of seating options and good coffee was available all day. It is about 20-25 min from Downtown Savannah so it is convenient only if you are driving.
Best Western Central turned out to be better than expected. Convenient to the historic district - only a 15 minute drive, no charge for parking the car (many do), clean room, outdoor pool, hot breakfast, and friendly staff. Also located near the botanical garden, Outback, Publix, D&D Nails, and Oglethorpe Mall. We would stay here again!
The hotel was clean and had good accessibility, the room was spacious (they gave us the room with preferred accessibility) which was great because it was ground floor. The hotel is near Tanger outlets and Walmart, a lot of restaurants and services, so location was very good, although it is located at Pooler and far from Savannah.
Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast had good variety and value. Many hotels are no longer including continental breakfast, so this was a welcome change. The location was convenient for me to drive to the Savannah Convention Center without dealing with downtown hotel parking.
It was the cheapest hotel (more of a motel really) available in the downtown Savannah area for the dates I needed and turned out to be pretty good. If you like "hip" then it might be even great for you. I was just happy with comfortable beds, a clean room, and friendly staff.
Overall the hotel was awesome, it was perfect for my friend and me and it was only an 8-minute drive from downtown Savannah so that was amazing. All of the staff was amazing and nice. It's also right next to a Food Lion so we were able to get anything that was needed there.
It's one of the most affordable place in Savannah. The lady in charge was really helpful. She tried her best to resolve any issues as soon as possible. The location is good, near to a bus stop so you can travel downtown easily.
Close to all the downtown action. Lots of restaurants nearby. Parking in a close ramp worked well. We got in late and took a little exploration to find our way. Once we did, it all worked out great.
This hotel is at the edge of the historic district and near the river. There is a good breakfast and a really nice roof top pool with a good view. Also, the concierge services are good.
Clean and easy to access. Almost free parking on the street behind hotel. I wish all the Savannah hotels didn’t conspire to charge $75 for a pet for one night!
It was the cheapest option for my dates. It was not that far away from downtown Savannah. The place was quite clean and the check-in was quick and easy.
