Escape the ordinary at Graycliff Hotel and Restaurant, Nassau's landmark mansion. In busy, touristy, sometimes even artificial Nassau, this is the oasis you are looking for. I can't put my finger on it, but none of the photos, not even professional ones, pay this place justice. They tend to come out "granny-style". But the house is a gorgeous colonial-style building full of antiques and lovely details. It is like travelling back in time, in a good way. The huge, lush garden with the pool (yep, that pool with the blue, painted bottom) makes you forget the crowded, souvenir shops and the dusty roads in a second.

The host was very friendly and the keys were available when we arrived.

The property was directly at the beach which was a plus. it also had a great water park. the hotel itself was decorated perfectly to the Bahamas vibe.

THE EXPERIENCE: Lush, renovated historical hideaway, beachside in the perfect location in Nassau SOAK IN THE SUN: Two freshwater, oceanfront pools & private cabanas overlooking 300 feet of white sand... The location of the hotel was great. Breakfaste was very good
