Located in the Oud-West district of Amsterdam, Hotel van de Vijsel is 300 metres from Leidseplein. the hotel is super cool, quiet and the neighborhood is great, one of the nicest in Amsterdam, outiside the chaos of the city centre. I paid a fair amount of money.

It looks as if the hotel has been renovated from top to bottom recently and it is now very stylish. My single room was small but extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean and with a great view of the street scene. There is a tram stop at both ends of the road giving easy access to all parts of the city and there are plenty of places to eat along the street. The staff were very helpful. This will definitely be my base in Amsterdam for future visits. The price is great in this expensive city!

Hotel De Hallen is located in the Oud-West district of Amsterdam, 2 km from Dam Square. It offers an a la carte restaurant and non-smoking rooms with free WiFi. the location was unreal! the hotel was very funky. beds were comfy and the shower was amazing. we could walk anywhere in the city and had lots of bars and restaurants near by. the big food hall was right next door which was also amassing. we were able to leave our bags there in the last day as well while we went out before leaving Amsterdam. really nice hotel and nice staff and would go back 😊

Hotel Larende is an independently owned hotel with free Wi-Fi and a 24-hour front desk in Amsterdam. Food market De Hallen is only a 4-minute walk away. The hotel is just some steps from tram 13 that will get you at the centre in just 5-6 minutes. Mr Murat at the reception was the most kind gentleman we met in Holland. always there for us with his great energy and his happy face. Thanks a lot! The breakfast is also decent.
