simply amazing - beautiful nature around, quiet at night, spacious enough for a couple even for a longer stay, super comfortable bed, many hiking routes directly accessible, animals around - donkeys, wild rabbis and peacocks...it really had all we needed + the best host...thank you and hope to be back!

Asukoht oli meeldiv - keset loodust ning eemal linnamürast - täpselt see, mis soovisime. Maja ise oli meeldivalt kompaktne, ent modernse ja hästi planeeritud sisustusega. Vastuvõtt oli soe ja meeldiv. Omanikud ja töötajad olid kõik väga sõbralikud ja abivalmid. Kogu info räägiti põhjalikult ära ja tehti ka ümbrust tutvustav tuur. Tore oli see, et läheduses paiknes ka sama kompleksi alla kuuluv restoran/baar/söögikoht, kus olid maitsvad söögid ja joogid. Lisaks pakuti ka erinevaid lisategevusi (näiteks kanuumatk). Ka võimalus otse matkarajale suunduda oli seal olemas.

Lovely cabin surrounded by mountain views, we saw so many stars at night. There's a great place to eat and drink (O Barracão), just 10 mins walk from the cabin, and it's only 20 minutes drive from Funchal (we had a rental car, but I believe there's a bus stop nearby too). It felt like a little home away from home, bed was very comfortable, shower was excellent and the little kitchenette had a stove top, microwave, kettle, coffee machine and fridge. Our host was wonderful, very welcoming and gave us lots of recommendations. I would definitely stay here again!

WOW! Beautiful modern wooden cabin in the middle of nowhere. Such a peaceful location, but not too far from Funchal if you want to get down (20-25 mins in a taxi) A range of lovely walks from the front door. Amazing shower. Able to stargaze at night. There’s a fantastic ‘snack bar’ just a few mins walk away with super friendly staff and a range of amazing poncha flavours. We can’t wait to go back next year!

The shelter was exactly as shown in the pictures. Very comfortable! The location is great, there is a very good and low price restaurant that you can reach through a short walk. Dioclécio was very kind and gave us a few pieces of advice on what to do in the area. The position is strategic for PR1 and other trek routes. It has been an amazing stay, and we're looking forward to coming back. This place is pure beauty!

Location amongst the trees, great hikes nearby (including the famous Pico to Pico, which starts a short drive away) and a sunset hike on the doorstep, peaceful, friendly meet & greet from host and quick responses to messages, but not hassled. Bedding, towels and shower etc of good quality. Comfortable bed. Heater warmed the cabin up nicely when required.
