- in general very clean, modern and calming atmosphere with beautiful flowers and artobjects
- there is a rooftop areal with jacuzzi and bar, beautiful at night overlooking Mondello
- staff is friendly and competent

The room size is big and breakfast is about 90% sweet pastry so good for kids.

The two room apartment was very clean and spacious for two people. It looks like it has been recently refurbished - the kitchen and bathroom both looked new.
The outside sitting and sunbathing space is excellent - lots of areas with plenty of shade and excellent direct access to the sea from decked area. Life guards on duty all day.
The snack bar has a good choice of food and drink during the day and provides excellent value for money.

This was my first time to Mondello.
This was my first time to Mondello. Overall, it was better than expected. My family was looking for a simple beach trip, and Mondello served this purpose very well. There were plenty of restaurants for us to enjoy in the area. There were private beach access areas where you can rent some beach chairs and an umbrella, plus plenty of public beach areas to access as well. If you needed to go into Palermo, you can catch a few different bus routes. We used the 806 bus route to get into more of the heart of Palermo in our case.

Mondello has a lot to offer anyone, from singles, young and old, families and retirees. We went in early May, so the weather was a bit on the cool side, but there was still plenty of people on the beach. The crowd size at that time of year was manageable. There are plenty of places to eat and we enjoyed good food. It is a very walkable area. It is not a far drive from Palermo City Center (average 30 -40 minutes depending on traffic).AAnonymous - 10Scored 10

Sand beach, free next to the water. Wonderful view from the beach. We tried trattoria "L'angolo di Mondello Trattoria da Franco" on Piazza Mondello and "Alle Terrazze". The first one (Franco) is a family-driven local, traditional place, the second one is a first-class restaurant with a very high standard, with excellent panorama view.

Fab breakfast, home baked cakes every morning with a huge choice of goodies incl eggs anyway you like i.e. poached, scrambled, omelet's etc. Quiet location but within a very short walk to the beach and a 10 minute walk to the centre ... Mondello has all the capabilty to be a first-rate tourist destination: the sandy beach, the transparent clear water, the landscape, the old villas. I just can't understand why they can't keep the streets clean to match the natural environment. The rubbish almost ruins everything.

Bedrooms are spacious and all the beds super comfortable. Francesco made a warming welcome for us, and also left coffee and different pastries/bread for breakfast. If you enjoy walking: groceries, beach and restaurants are all within a 20 minute walk. We had toured Sicily the two weeks prior and found this a nice place to relax before going home. The beach in Mondello is one of Sicily’s best, and hiking up Mt Gallo was great. We took a taxi to/from Palermo airport (€50) and felt we didn’t need a car. We were there with two young kids in November with less opportunity to be outside, but the apartment is so spacious that the kids had plenty of room inside as well. Great location Mondello, you just cross the street and you at the beach. You can get to location from Crocce Rosa/Palermo by 806 bus.
