Casa Nostra Boutique Hotel & Spa

Hotel in Monte di Pietà, Palermo

Located in Palermo, 500 metres from Palermo Cathedral, Casa Nostra Boutique Hotel & Spa provides accommodation with a shared lounge, private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. Overall a lovely boutique hotel with the highest standard without being snobbery. Beautifully furnished with a calm and soothing atmosphere at the same time with a pulse we love. The pool is small yet perfect. They are just going to open up a gym which is great for running of all the delicious food and drink Palermo and Sicily offers. Fantastic service and people - the owners to runs it are so open to the guest. Every detail counts yet humble that they have just opened up their dream hotel which will just be better and better for the coming years. The breakfast was fantastic. Not over-done yet generous, personal, fresh and delicious. Extra bonus for offering ordering of all different kind of egg-dishes which we loved. Served in the lovely courtyard by the pool. We had both lunch and dinner at the hotel and the food was A M A Z I N G. We will for sure come back and bring our closest friends. As this place is a must stay and I hope that they continue to evolve in the same way. Offering a "pricy affordable" dream-stay in Palermo.

Airone City Hotel 4 stars

Hotel in Catania

Offering free WiFi throughout and a summer outdoor pool, Airone City Hotel is in Catania, 4 km from its historical centre and Piazza Duomo. This is one of the best Hotels I lived in because of its high-cost performance, free breakfast, tidy and cozy room as well as its perfect service. They provided a mini-bar which you can not enjoy in other Hotels. Just choose to stay Airone City Hotel if you come from another city or country, a nice Hotel choice would enhance your experience on a trip.

FAQs about hotels in Sicily

An Island of Intrigue

The largest Italian island, Sicily has long been a place of mystery and intrigue, coveted by civilisations. Its Greek history is most evident at Agrigento whose UNESCO World Heritage-listed Valley of the Temples has amazingly well-preserved Greek temples.

Also important to Greece was Siracusa. Archimedes was born here and there is a theatre and necropolis to explore. However, the most spectacularly located Greek theatre is at Taormina. Set on a hill overlooking the glorious Mediterranean Sea, this theatre points towards Mount Etna smoking away in the distance above Catania. Picturesque Taormina is one of the most popular Sicily resorts and down below there are some wonderful Giardini Naxos hotels on the beach, available on Booking.com.

Another resort boasting some of the best Sicily hotels for families is fabulous Cefalù. Home to a lovely beach, this small town is dramatically located at the foot of a mountain. To the north-west are the Aeolian Islands (also known as the Lipari Islands), volcanic islands with plunging cliffs and secret coves.

Back on the main island, the capital Palermo is a seductive mix of amazing architecture and laidback life. Trapani to the west is known for its salt flats, whereas Messina to the east is where trains drive straight onto the ferry to Reggio Calabria on the Italian mainland.
