We booked the annex, which is in a historic building adjacent to the main mansion. Overall, the hotel was clean and comfortable, parking was easy, and staff were very friendly and helpful. Where this hotel really shines is the perfect location. It is a quick walk to Shadyside, Carnegie Mellon's campus, and Pitt's campus. We really enjoyed being able to leave the car parked and walk to meals and both universities.

The staff was extremely nice and helpful, upon checkin the registar wrote a list of restaurants in the area to try. The rooms are all unique, plenty of parking around the grounds. Location is easy walking distance to Shadyside and Oakland neighborhoods. There is an a la carte breakfast served Thurs - Sunday that is worth checking out. The staff was very responsive to our needs, we had an extended stay and housekeeping is VERY accommodating.
