Located on a hillside, 4 km from Golling an der Salzach, Stallerhof offers modern rooms with wooden furniture. Free schnapps tastings are provided in the on-site distillery. I loved spending some days at Stallerhof. Everything was perfect, super comfortable, amaziiiiing breakfast, stunning view. Monika was super welcoming and nice! I’m already planning to return there soon.

Located in the centre of Kuchl, the garni hotel Wagnermigl is right on the Tauernradweg (bicycle trail) and 20 km south of Salzburg. The garden includes a sun terrace and a children’s playground. I don't know how to describe how wonderful this hotel was. The welcoming feeling was like walking in to your best friend's house for a short stay. The owners were helpful with all of our questions and directed our traveling partners to the best sites to see in Kuchl. I won't reveal the special little touches generously provided by the owners. The breakfast was outstanding. We spent the month of September traveling in Austria and northern Italy staying in many different hotels so you notice the little things in the design of the room that you wish were in each hotel room. The thoughtful design of the room checked off everything on my list of items I like in a hotel room.

The room design, the view from windows, the balcony which was divided in two (1 for the cold season, 1 for the warm season), the wellness area, the restaurant, the fact that wherever you went, there were pots filled with apples, full of taste and you could serve yourself at any time. The kids play ground. The nice/warm rest area at the reception. Everything in this hotel is thought out to the smallest detail. Behind the hotel is a train station and we had a connection to Salzburg every half hour. At the reception we received free tickets for public transport for the 3 days, for the whole family (2 adults+2 kids). We were completely pampered at this hotel. I definitely recommend it.

Located in the centre of Russbach, Hotel Kerschbaumer is just 400 metres from the cable car into the Dachstein-West Ski Area. It features a sauna and a fossil exhibition. Clean rooms, very welcoming staff and they have a good restaurant with traditional food.

Just 15 km from Salzburg, NEUWIRT - Boutiquehotel & Wirtshaus is located in the spa town of Bad Vigaun, just off the A10 motorway. It offers free Wi-Fi and a traditional Austrian restaurant. Fantastic property with a great staff!

Dating from 1592, this traditional hotel is located in the pedestrian zone of Abtenau, 500 metres from the ski area. The Goldener Stern offers rooms with free WiFi access and free parking. The staff of the hotel impressed us for incredible Customer service. They were available to solve any of our problem (we had a big issue with car) with professionalism and care, giving notable advices and helping with relentless commitment. Nice restaurant, nice pastry making. Position unbeatable right in the main square of Abtenau. Rooms clean, modern structure. They deserve highest score.

Only a 10-minute walk away from the centre of Abtenau, this hotel and restaurant is right next to the valley station of the Karkogel cable car. Very clean, large rooms. Beautiful views! The food in the restaurant was excellent. The hotel is dog friendly and has beautiful walks outside. Very friendly staff. A lovely stay!
