The castle grounds as well as the rooms are all beautiful, and great for exploring...lots of little hideaways to find, and spectacular views of the river and valley below. There's also easy access to trails from the castle grounds that take you along the tops of the hills in which the castle sits. The staff were fantastic too - the staff member that greeted us for check-in (Mira, if we're remembering her name correctly) even called a local restaurant on our behalf, to order food for dinner.

The interior is in 1920s style, all furnished with renovated vintage furniture. Entering the hotel is like in Midnight In Paris, except it's still there when you wake up in the morning. The breakfast is amazing, everything is fresh, organic and healthy. If you are vegan or vegetarian, let the staff know beforehand and they will make sure you have alternatives. We forgot to do so, but they still managed to provide a great breakfast with fresh fruit and home-baked bread. The hotel was renovated just a few years ago, but some of the other guests were already regulars that return each year, always a good sign. Staff is charming, friendly and helpful. Having a drink in the plush vintage chairs of the lounge is a lovely way to end each evening. Parking on the street right outside, but if it's all full the hotel have a few spots behind the building. Recommended for exploring the "Romantischen Rhein". We will be sure to return.

Choice of eggs and bacon every morning. We ate in the Restaurant most nights, food was cooked to perfection. Room was large and comfortable. Good parking in front of Hotel. We really enjoyed our stay will visit again.

Location off the beaten path, super quiet, 5min walk to the ferry, then 10min by car to Bacharach or Oberwesel. Hotel has a restaurant bar, host was kind and helpful. Breakfast plenty for a long day exploring the castles.
