L’Arbre à Pain Hotel is situated in Altier, a mountainous, calm area, 7 km from Villefort Lake. The hotel rooms are equipped with a TV, bathroom, seating area and balcony. An amazing find. I was cycling the St Malo to Nice route (France en Velo) and Altier proved a perfect stop on the way. The owners and staff could not have been more friendly. My bike was safe and the room very generously proportioned. The food was amazing, sourcing local products while being great value. This was my favourite stop of the entire trip.

To begin with - this was an amazing experience! This farm is located in a beautiful place on the hill. The road to the place was quite steep, but ok. The hosts were very nice. The dinner and breakfast (offered for additional payment) were very authentic, the cheese was just amazing. The wifi worked good. There was parking We bought some sausages from their shop, they were also great. There also was a museum of "farm tools" open to every guest.
