The Crown Inn Pooley Bridge has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Pooley Bridge. This 4-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk. Lovely property, we travelled with my elderly father and he had the accessibility room and slept really well in the main building and had no complaints. The staff were excellent, room lovely and clean, breakfast was a full English and eggs Benedict, both cooked perfectly.

A Regency house overlooking Ullswater, the Macdonald Leeming House has an award-winning restaurant and views of the Cumbrian Fells. It is a 15-minute drive from the M6 motorway. My partner and I came to this hotel for our 1 year anniversary and New Years Eve. Every staff member we engaged with was welcoming and pleasant with smiles all around. The food was delicious and our room was large, warm and clean with views over the gardens and lake. (Room 1). We would be happy to stay again in future. The staff definitely deserve all the credit for our stay, we were very happy.

By Ullswater Lake, Patterdale Hotel offers home-cooked food, a garden terrace and lounges with fireplaces. Hotel Patterdale is between 2 scenic mountain ranges. The staff the hotel and the setting are all absolutely amazing. We were taken great care of and the food was to die for. I highly highly recommend this hotel to anyone spending time here in Glenridding.

Barton Hall Country House ligger i Pooley Bridge, 30 km fra Derwentwater og 37 km fra World of Beatrix Potter. Der er udsigt til haven. Ejendommen har bjerg- og søudsigt og ligger 5 km fra Askham... Lovely accommodation and staff. Barton Hall has loads of character. Breakfast was excellent. Nice little discovery, will definitely be back!

Beautiful location and easily accessible to the Lakes and places we wanted to visit including Keswick, Ambleside, Grassmere, Windermere, Pulley Bridge and beautiful scenery. House was perfect for us. We were a family of 9. Granny and grandad, 2 boys, their wives and children under a year and our daughter. Facilities in the house were excellent and being located next to the building with a bar was ideal. Beautiful clean campsite too.

The whole place is quite romantic and relaxed. Decoration is very good and has a bit of history, that the host will tell you about. The bedroom has a bathroom (with a big bathtub) and another one with just a toilet, a small living room with TV and sofas, and a room with two twin bed, that they kindly displayed together since we were a couple. Toiletries, towels and bathrobes were provided and good quality. Everything was quite clean. The place is very quiet, no noise whatsoever and quite close to Ullswater. The hosts were amazing, giving us plenty of suggestions of what to do around the area, they respect your privacy while being completely available. You have a place to park easily, and the hosts gave accurate directions. Honestly my favourite part was the breakfast which was excellent!! Probably the best breakfast I ever had on a hotel/BB! Everything was very fresh and made with excellent ingredients - you have a time slot and let them know what you want in advance (you have several options) and they will cook in for that time, so everything is fresh and warm. We were very glad we chose this place and would definitely stay again.

A lovely place with great hosts. The room was very spacious and had a lot of light, everything was clean. A lot of nature and walks around the B&B, an amazing view from the terrace. Also, we were absolutely stuffed after the breakfast, it was very good. I can definitely recommend this place
