Situated in Selfoss, 14 km from Geysir, Torfhús Retreat features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. Very unique, relaxing and beautiful place to stay. We stayed in a bigger house. The house was beautifully designed. The beds were comfy. The house also had personal hot tub/hot spring. The retreat has amazing restaurant. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious. The staff is very friendly and welcoming.

The Greenhouse hotel has 7 restaurants and a bar in its food hall, Icelandic designer stores, Icecream and a local food market. Relaxed atmosphese with "can do"attitude, I loved the architecture and the interior design - simple, modern, functional. Focus on sustainability was a great plus - I am fully aligned with their cleaning policy. Also, I liked the breakfasts - simple selection of high quality food, everything fresh.

Perfect central location where I could walk to restaurants and the supermarket. There was ample guest parking and the room facilities were wonderful.

Featuring a bar and shared lounge, Hótel Laugarvatn is 15 minutes’ drive from Thingvellir National Park. WiFi and parking are free. Staff is extremely professional and nice. They have a lounge room that is always open and where you can eat (coffee and water is for free). The hotel style is very coezy. This eco-friendly hotel, 30 minutes’ drive from Reykjavik, is surrounded by nature in the town of Ölfus. The place is stunning with views to a farm of horses and a perfect spot to see the Northern lights that we could see a couple of nights. The staff, the breakfast was great with loads of food.

It’s a perfect base for exploring the golden circle and the south coast. There is only 7 km to Hveragerdi and Selfoss, cities with a wide range of shops and restaurants. Extremely nice place the host was very kind and answered all my questions, the locations is excellent outside of selfoss in great sweet spot for going south east or going into the golden circle.
