Lots of tourists during the day in the city but many leave by the evening.

Nice location on a hill outside Siena. Pretty view. Nice pool area, which we did not utilize much due to the weather. Love the staff. Margherita was there to assist with our every need. They were all great. Plus, they had a really extensive wine collection. What really surprised me, and I don't know why, was that this place had a top notch chef. The dinners each night varied and one had several delicious options from which to choose. They have a nightly tasting menu for a minimum of two people that looked very interesting. We did not choose that option during our stay. I am sure we missed out.

From the moment we arrived, we were embraced with the warmth and hospitality that made us feel instantly at home. It was truly an unforgettable experience. The staff was exceptionally helpful and always greeted us with warm smiles. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Lenny, Gemma, Eva, Fabio, and the other wonderful staff members whose names we can't recall. Their hospitality made our stay incredibly special. We genuinely felt at home, and we are deeply grateful for the impeccable service and care provided by everyone at the hotel.

Offering an outdoor pool, a 5-hectare garden and a restaurant, Locanda le Boscarecce is located in Castelfiorentino. Free WiFi access is available. Private bathroom also comes with a bath. We travel a lot, and this is one of the best places we have ever stayed in. The nature surounding the location is apsolutely wonderfull, rooms are comfortable, there is a tenis garden, football court, swimming pull. We would also recommand the fantastic dinner the host offers. The hosts are great people, very kind and frendly.

Centrally located in Certaldo, Hotel Il Castello features air-conditioned rooms and free Wi-Fi throughout. I liked the typical Italian breakfast served at the hotel and how guests were offered choices for a variety of healthy options. The selection would suit people with different food preferences and people with allergies (see below). The quality of the food was excellent. I liked that the hotel owner, Alfred, was also our host - always around and available when I had a question, in a helpful, non-obtrusive way. Alfred's music always made me smile! The staff could not have been better - from housekeeping to kitchen and breakfast room, bar and fine dining - they seemed to really care about this special place. I loved the outdoor terraces and the expansive views of Toscana with the towers of San Gimignano off in the distance. I will always remember the evenings ... when leaving our room, we were met with the most amazing aromas from the kitchen - the fragrance of herbs in the pot enticed us down the stairs like an sensory invitation to explore aperitivo and eventually dinner. The experience was magical - these things just do not happen at home! One of our favourite memories is of the wild tortoises who are indigenous to the area. They find their own spaces to live with the hotel (outside) and drop by once a while when the sun is just right. The eldest fellow is around 90 years old and he is quite a character. These tortoises have lived in this place longer than almost any other living guests. I suppose they have adapted to share this incredible place with the rest of us.
