We absolutely loved our stay at Pao's. It looks exactly like the photos (which is not always the case), was very comfortable and all the staff were lovely. We had originally stayed for 3 nights, and ended up extending an extra 9 because it was such a nice place to base ourselves. The value for money was second to none. Views over the valley from the balcony were outstanding. The desk in the room had plenty of space to work, and there were common seating areas if you wanted to have a change of scenery. The breakfast buffet had something for everyone. We also utilized the gym quite a bit (the full set of dumbells was great). We had originally thought it may have been a little far away, but the walk to town is actually very easy. They also have the free shuttle that runs basically every 2 hours, or you can just take a paid electric vehicle from the door.

Location is great. Just 5-10 mins walk to Fansipan funicular station. Also 5 min walk to Moana Sapa. The location is vibrant with many cafes and restaurants. Also for the Indian travellers, there is an Indian restaurant just beside the hotel. From the room, you can view the Fansipan peak. The staff are also super friendly. For any need they were there to help us. They even provided us packaged food and water for our night train (this was wholesome for us) A perfect 10 that I could say.

La homestay è posizionata molto bene a pochi passi dal centro ma in una via silenziosa. La stanza è pulita e spaziosa. Il bagno è grande e la doccia è separata da un vetro. L'acqua è sempre calda anche nel lavandino e la pressione è ottima. Abbiamo apprezzato la possibilità, con un costo extra, di poter scaldare la stanza con lo split dell'aria condizionata (purtroppo abbiamo avito un tempo freddo e piovoso). La colazione è inclusa e preparata con cura dal marito di Giuliana. Giuliana, la proprietaria, è estremamente dolce, sempre sorridente e desiderosa di accontentare i suoi clienti su ogni richiesta. È possibile affittare da lei uno scooter, o organizzare un tour. Ci tornerei ad occhi chiusi e lo raccomando altamente!

Really comfortable beds and very clean. We got our laundry done here too and it came back smelling so fresh. Staff were super nice and massages were amazing! Location was perfect.

Abbiamo raggiunto la città dalla stazione di Lao Cai con un trasporto privato (avendo in programma un'escursione di due giorni tra i villaggi). La città è molto viva di giorno, sarete sempre circondati di donne provenienti dai villaggi, di varie etnie, che vi proporranno quanto producono artigianalmente. L'atmosfera è quella di un luogo di montagna, a cominciare dalla nebbia che ci ha accolto all'alba e che si è diradata dopo un po', lasciando spazio a un sole quasi cocente. Si mangia bene dappertutto, sempre; ottimo il caffè vietnamita di Romano's Pizza e convenienti i prezzi degli shop, che offrono "made in Vietnam" a cifre che in Europa ci sogneremmo.

Bellissimi posti, luoghi incredibili nei quali perdersi. Le risaie sono un colpo meraviglioso per gli occhi non appena si inizia a risalire alla montagna da Lao Cai e via via sono sempre più belle. Anche le Silver falls sono pazzesche.
