It is a spectacular location for endless sea views, gorgeous forest and fauna, swimming coves, and star gazing. The Rifugio di Mare is run by a friendly and dedicated group of individuals who are also the visionaries behind the rehabilitation of the 2nd World War stone structures and paths into an ecological sanctuary and place of peace. After a day of walking, sun and swimming, we returned for the 8 p.m. four-course dinner of regional dishes beautifully executed in the open kitchen. Rooms are spacious, comfortable, and modern modern. The original structure, which houses 5 rooms, the restaurant and breakfast room, is well integrated into the landscape, all operating with self-sufficient solar energy. Highly recommend. We will be back.

The set up is very well cared off, and holds a magic rare to find, beautiful swimming pool and the only one I found functional out of season! Great get away location close to all north east destinations -
