Rick and Jitka are perfect hosts! Super friendly and they have a great eye for details. The yurt was VERY charming. Toilet and shower is a few meters away and just as charming as the yurt. It all adds to the experience! Breakfast was great, way too much actually! Absolutely the best stay we had in Iceland on our two week trip. Wish we would have had an extra night here! Tip for anyone complaining about that it's hard to find: just follow the route descriptions you get by e-mail and you will be just fine.

Visited for two weeks for our honeymoon - the pictures did not do it justice as the view continuously took our breath away everytime we left our tent! Staff was surprisingly friendly and proffesional, and all the facilities were nearly spotless (except when a guest for some reason vomited in the sink in the bathroom in the middle of the night, which was cleaned up within 12 hours) Multiple hiking trails of different lengths exist in the immediate vicinity, hosting a wide range of scenery. A grocery store/restaurant is located only a 10 minute walk away, and the nearest city only 10 minutes by car. We had to send a package to the location in advance as well, and the staff was more than willing to pick up the package for us and deliver it to our tent before we arrived (the post office was stupidly complicated though, so we ended up having to pick it up ourselves anyway) Would recommend for anyone wanting a quiet getaway!

Bungalow comfortably warm even when freezing outside (geothermal heating + hot shower!), comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen. Super easy self check-in (numeric code sent in advance; we would not have to even meet the guy from the reception but we did anyway, as we needed his help to understand the operation of the stove; he gave us a physical key to make entering easier).

The hot tub is wonderful and perfect to see stars and Aurora. The cottage is clean and new and has everything you need. In the morning its nice to see the sunset during breakfast.
