The wine offering in the afternoon was fun. Breakfast was nice. I like having breakfast at the hotel. We had a room with a bedroom and separate seating area which we really liked. We were able to rest in the afternoon without having to just sit on the bed.

We decided to do a touristy weekend, came over form Portland. We found the perfect breakfast spot, very inexpensive and SO good! The Riverwalk Restaurant, the biscuits and gravy are to die for. Our favorite seafood place is South Bay Wild Fish House. We love walking the streets and going into all the groovy little shops. Took the Underground Tour this time which was so fun! Visited the Astoria Column which was so interesting and the scenery from the ground and the top of the column was breathtaking. The climb up the column had me out of breath so caution if you have medical issues or are just plain out of shape like me. My grandson and I went bowling at Lower Columbia Bowl when a beachside fire was out of the question for grandpa lol . Had a blast! We love Astoria!!

Love the antique and unique shops on Commercial in downtown Astoria. Toured the Flavel House, which I definitely recommend. Found a funky sportsbar called the MerryTime which serves giant juicy burgers. Love the sound of the seals and the maritime feel of Astoria.

Friendly town- many good food choices- excellent fresh seafood available. If you like to visit a brewery this town is for you as well... Also, fun ride to the top of the town to visit the Column... Astoria Brewery, Rogue, Fort George and Reach Breach some of our favorite stops.

We loved the location of the hotel. It was next to the river with a walking path.Every morning and evening we watched the ships come in and viewed the beautiful sunrises and sunsets.Downtown Astoria was easy to walk and offered many shops and places to eat.Just a beautiful old town with stunning views.

Astoria is a busy place, lots to do.

Astoria is a busy place, lots to do. We went down to spend time with young grandchildren and took a good friend and his son. Booking.com advertises This motel at $60 a night and it was $175 a night so we could not stay as long as we would have liked. I think misrepresentation like this is a crime and I felt cheated.. The motel blamed the price change on Booking.com.

    The hotel location was super.

The hotel location was super. We were within walking distance of a few restaurants. We ate at the Bridgewater Bay Bistro only a couple of minutes walk. The fresh caught halibut was wonderfully tasty. We also ate at a local Mexican restaurant, El Tiapatio, (10-minute walk) from hotel. The restaurant was colorful and food and drinks were great. Many locals were also dining there. The riverwalk is directly in front of the hotel. There is some construction on it, so it was not as accessible as it might have been. The Trolley is running only from 1-4 pm. Museums are a 30-35 minute walk from the hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed the Heritage Museum with history of Astoria.

I thought breakfast on the first morning was great. The second morning not as great but the guy tried and was pleasant. I just thought maybe someone called in. The room was great, the fact that dredging was going on and not many boats, none close up, was disappointing. This was a nostalgia trip, I love Astoria and have probably stayed at every motel/hotel in the town over 50 years. Wanted to come back to this one again because we never had a bad time with anything there. Thanks for the opportunity to fill out this form.

This location is surreal and breathtaking. Astoria, the tankers and ships floating by, and the harbor seals made the experience totally unique. The harbor is absolutely beautiful. The hotel was cozy and welcoming and the staff went above and beyond when they found out my father in law was dying and on a “last trip.” We took him here bc the waterside balcony was the closet thing to a cruise we could get. This hotel is so memorable. I hope I get to come back and see the town more!

The breakfast met all of my benchmarks for a hotel breakfast. The ham was bad. I had to throw it away. But, I love the bisquits and gravy format. I make a waffle and add gravy and egg on top. I should have used the hardboiled eggs which are a must for this dish but I got lazy and regr egged it. The fake eggs were a no also. but, The basics were there, along with fresh fruit, yogurt oatmeal cereal and juice. I would come back. We really apreciated our early check in.

Summer during Buoy 10 salmon fishing season in Astoria is very high demand. So the room prices were extremely high... like 2 to 3 times off season rates. The rooms are simple basic retro 50's minimalist motel furniture and decor. Beds were comfortable, everything was mostly clean. There is a refrigerator, TV and good wifi signal. It is located next to Pig N Pancake. Keyless room code worked well.

This is the perfect location to tour not only Astoria but also the Long Beach Peninsula a few miles to the north and the Seaside/Cannon Beach area to the south. The free breakfast is very well presented and offers a better-than-average selection and quality of food and drinks. The hotel is an excellent place to watch the river traffic from, and we enjoy that aspect very much.

This place is FANTASTIC!!!! My 1 day work trip turned into 3 nights added nightly at the very last second because of the ice storm this weekend 1/12/24-1/15/24 I was warm, cozy, and safe. This was a very clean and comfortable place to stay for a night in Astoria. There’s off street parking, location is just a block from Commercial Street so easy to walk to town. There’s a shared lounge and kitchen with coffee maker, toaster and air fryer (?) if you have your own food (coffee provided).
