We decided to do a touristy weekend, came over form Portland. We found the perfect breakfast spot, very inexpensive and SO good! The Riverwalk Restaurant, the biscuits and gravy are to die for. Our favorite seafood place is South Bay Wild Fish House. We love walking the streets and going into all the groovy little shops. Took the Underground Tour this time which was so fun! Visited the Astoria Column which was so interesting and the scenery from the ground and the top of the column was breathtaking. The climb up the column had me out of breath so caution if you have medical issues or are just plain out of shape like me. My grandson and I went bowling at Lower Columbia Bowl when a beachside fire was out of the question for grandpa lol . Had a blast! We love Astoria!!

Love the antique and unique shops on Commercial in downtown Astoria. Toured the Flavel House, which I definitely recommend. Found a funky sportsbar called the MerryTime which serves giant juicy burgers. Love the sound of the seals and the maritime feel of Astoria.

Astoria is a busy place, lots to do.
Astoria is a busy place, lots to do. We went down to spend time with young grandchildren and took a good friend and his son. Booking.com advertises This motel at $60 a night and it was $175 a night so we could not stay as long as we would have liked. I think misrepresentation like this is a crime and I felt cheated.. The motel blamed the price change on Booking.com.

The hotel location was super.
The hotel location was super. We were within walking distance of a few restaurants. We ate at the Bridgewater Bay Bistro only a couple of minutes walk. The fresh caught halibut was wonderfully tasty. We also ate at a local Mexican restaurant, El Tiapatio, (10-minute walk) from hotel. The restaurant was colorful and food and drinks were great. Many locals were also dining there. The riverwalk is directly in front of the hotel. There is some construction on it, so it was not as accessible as it might have been. The Trolley is running only from 1-4 pm. Museums are a 30-35 minute walk from the hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed the Heritage Museum with history of Astoria.

My husband and I wanted to get away for a mini vacation, in the month of July things book very quickly and prices for hotels more than double. We found this place for a reasonable price and were not expecting much. We were delightfully surprised! Great room. View of the ocean! No early check in, but when we arrived it was super quick and easy to check in! Will definitely be staying there on all visits to Astoria, Seaside, and Cannon Beach!
Clean spacious room. We paid for our own bathroom as most of the facilities are shared. The hotel is ideally situated right in the middle of the town so near everything you need. The price we paid was very reasonable for location. Spotlessly clean and helpful staff. Coffee, hot chocolate and tea are provided in reception in the morning and there is a kitchen for everyone to use if so required.
Great facilities with gym pool hot tub, breakfast room and lounge area. Great views from waterfront rooms and the trolley car stops right at the hotel. The room was perfect, very spacious with two big beds but in separate areas with tvs in both rooms.Breakfast offering was extensive and good quality.
The hotel is so creatively beautiful and loved hearing the sea lions below us. The staff was fantastic, and the restaurant/ lounge area had amazing views. The room was clean but was very loud. I was on the first floor facing the boardwalk (opposite of water).
Bowline is really quite special - the location and view over the river is incredible. The curation of products, food, drink and furniture is really exceptional and works oh so well in the surroundings of Astoria.
The room was great and a proper treat.
It has fridge in room and microwave and Keurig coffee maker. Beautiful view of Columbia River and Astoria. I sat at the table in front of window and enjoyed my coffee. It also has big old claw foot tub bathroom. My husband enjoyed that.
We were pleasantly impressed with everything. From the great welcoming service from the front desk, our room was very comfortable with very comfortable beds and the view was fantastic.
This hotel is in a great location close to everything.
The view from the balcony was excellent! Watch the river and all that is going on....watch ships pass and fishermen with their catch come into the marina. Clean hotel typical room but the balcony makes this place special.
I was pleased with my room. It was clean, sheets were clean and fresh. Everything was wonderful.
I love that it was pet friendly. The decor was pretty cool. Restaurant right next door.
Great view of the Astoria bridge.
What's not to like! This is such a cool & quirky hotel and it gives you a STUNNING view of the bridge! I love the vibe, the staff were great and the atmosphere was absolutely awesome
It was my first time staying in a hotel like that but I actually liked sharing the kitchen. Everything is new and modern and location was so convenient.
